i could handle working retail in a place like msy or cpl because there's no fucking around. most people who go in there know exactly what they're after.

actually that's probably true of most small computer stores.. people who don't know any better get their computers from harvey norman and shit like that.

i could also handle working in a second hand book or record store but only if i owned it so i could run amuck.

aside from that, though, retail would be hellish.

You should read some of the stuff on WP about MSY and the backlash they get from idiot customers. I reckon working at MSY could turn into a terrible whinge fest by customer @ you for not giving the support they require (which they are not suppose to get any and thats why they pay rock bottom prices for parts).
