Here's a fun fact for ya, boys and girls, something I bet you never thought about but once I tell you you'll go 'oh yeah, that makes sense'. Cows make milk. That's what everyone knows. But lactation doesn't happen by itself, it's a hormonal reaction to pregnancy. So for a dairy cow to make milk she's gotta give birth. The farm knocks her up as soon as possible to keep production optimal. Fun, huh? For some reason this really grossed me out. Not sure why.
