When I was a kid and used to stay an my nana's place we'd have something called 'piecies'. It was just a jam sandwich made with soft white bread, but we always got it on a plate when we went to bed. I dunno why. It seems like a real bad idea giving something like this to kids while they're getting ready to sleep. I dunno how I even remember this. It's been twenty four years since Pardy (that's what we called Mum's dad for some reason) died and the farm was sold. Jesus.
Anyway, I'm going downstairs to make myself some piecies. I'm not going to bed yet, and I don't have either jam or white bread, but I'm gunna make some anyway. I'll probably toast some fruit bread and have a cup of tea with it.
