So yesterday. We had lunch in this little pasta bar in Chadstone Shopping Centre. It was nice and licensed so I had a beer and the women had a couple of glasses of wine. They were already a litre bottle of cheap champagne in the hole so the wine didn't help matters.
We were talking and they seemed pretty bored with the whole shopping centre deal so I asked if they wanted to see Chapel Street. I explained it was a short walk and a 15 minute train trip and we'd be there. So we ended up in Chapel Street. We didn't really get up to much, went into Borders and a collectables store, as well as the Oxfam store where I ordered a pair of No Sweats. Polly got herself a woven bag from Nepal.
So after that we caught a tram back to the station, went back to the shopping centre where thier bus was waiting to take them home, and got in some more wine and beer before they had to leave. The place we were drinking at was the same place we'd had lunch and they were cleaning up to close when we were about halfway through our drinks.
