So I'm looking at Assignments for next year, fearing the whole group assignment thing. I hate group assignments, not because I dislike working with other people, but the whole thing where we decide who does what seems so damned artificial. No one in the group has more authority than anyone else so you've got nothing backing you up when you're telling other people what to do. And when someone doesn't hold up thier side of the project you've got no way of penalising them.
Anyway, yeah. Assignments. We've got a core software engineering subject next semester where we have weekly deliverables. It seems a little daunting at first, but it'll prolly be a lot better than having crunches now and then when you've got a tonne of work to get in.
