Another of the superheroes is called 'Nite Owl'. He's more like the old batman before Miller got ahold of the bastard and dubbed him 'The Dark Knight'. He's got a bunch of gadgets and a cave where he keeps them, a serious paunch happening and a costume fetish. A lot of his detective work is done via a computer that takes fuzzy queries and spews out exact results. He's the most human of the heroes we see, trapped by the decisions of other people while trying to do what's best. One of the little details the artist gives him is unruly hair that pokes up and makes him look kind of like the horned owl his costume represents. He's an old school hero lost in a world that hates him and he can't understand.
He's still not as cool as Rorschach, though.
