I'm getting my arse burnt at Uni by the Java lecturer. She hates when people paraphrase. She seems to think that if we don't repeat her definitions of concepts exactly that we haven't learnt properly. It annoys the hell out of me mainly because I haven't learnt anything from her, but also just because it's bad form. How are students supposed to learn crap if you don't let them think about it themselves and come up with thier own words?
