I had today off work, which resulted in me sleeping in until the whoppingly late time of eight o'clock. Then it was the shuffle out of bed and into clothes and off to Uni where I had a lecture on how to document testing of Java classes. It was blockbusting stuff, had me glued to my seat the whole time, two thumbs up and all that. The lecturer has problems with public speaking. She's not real good at thinking on her feet, gets hot flushes, sweats and shakes through the whole thing. Plus she ignored a question I had. Man that pissed me off.
I calmed down a little on the way home. While I was crossing Caulfield Park I went through a period of typical Melbourne weather. For the first half I was in direct sunlight and I could feel my tan darkening under the scorching. I'm not joking there, really. I should have put on some sunscreen before I left. For the second half of the crossing the sun was behind the clouds. The slight sweat I'd developed was suddenly a liability. The wind that was blowing across the park with barely any trees to break it was freezing as hell. If I hadn't been wearing the jacket I would've been shivering by the time I'd gotten home.
