So when we got back here there was a message on the phone. They wanted me in at work for my first night. At six. I had an hour to go up Glenferrie Road, buy a uniform, get back here and change into it, then get up to Coles. No time for dinner. I even ran a little in my panic. I ended up going to a shoe shop and a men's ware store. I got the lot for about $170, which is okay, I guess. The guy I bought the shoes from promised me they'd last and be comfortable enough. They're leather so I guess they were worth the money. The pants and shirt are machine washable, so all I need is to learn how to iron. It can't be too hard, though.
