What the heck is with all the advertising material that comes with credit card statements? The flyer for netbanking has a picture of a cup of noodles with the service's logo on the cup. Probably trying to show how convenient and simple the whole thing is, while appealing to the type of people who treat food as a lifestyle accessory. The pamphlet about the bank's awards system has a fuzzy picture of primary-coloured shopping bags on the front. It looks kinda 'zine-ish.
I wonder how long it'll be before banks start selling advertising space in thier envelopes to other businesses. It'd be a hell of a way to target crap like this. They wouldn't even have to break any information sharing laws. They could charge businesses for it and take care of the selection process themselves.
