Been listening to the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion Now I Got Worry a lot lately. It was the first decent CD I bought way back in nineteen-ninety-something when I was living in Warnambool. I don't remember which house I was in, but I remember the shop assistant in Sanity helped me find it. It wasn't where it was supposed to be, or something, and came in a cardboard folder rather than a normal CD case, something that's saved the case from being stepped on and cracked like of of my other CDs.
It's noisy, fun and tongue-in-cheek. It kinda suprises me it's lasted so long on my playlist, especially when a lot of the tracks are seemingly novelty and have a sameish sound on the first listen. There's a heck of a lot of depth in there, though. And it's a heck of a good time just listening to Jon scream about how much everyone should love him.
