The rehersals last night. I was pretty fucken out of it. The venue's an odd one. There's this great big loading-bearing pillar a bit away from the centre of the place. We were talking to the owner and she said that it's a problem she has to deal with every time the place is used, so I'm guessing a coupla times a week. By the sound of it, she would have knocked it out if she could have when the place was last renovated.
Unfortunately the director decided that the best place for the 'bridal table' would be behind the pillar. This means a couple of people at every performance will miss out on most of what's going on. And from the actors' point of view, it's a huge distraction. I'm very annoyed about the whole thing, but she'll see sense eventually. I hope.
