I'm reading Stand on Zanzibar, a book by John Brunner that was graciously loaned to me by Nik. I had a suspicion that Brunner had been influenced by Situationist International writings, but Zanzibar was published two years before the Society of the Spectacle was released in English. But he seems to be on about the same stuff. I dunno, maybe I'm seeing things that aren't there.
