After the funeral service we went to the room behind the church and had coffee and cakes. We didn't do a grave-side ceremony because he's being cremated on Monday. I had all these old women with crooked faces come up to me and tell me how sorry I was. Age makes your face wonky, it seems.
Probably the person amoung the mourners, which doesn't include me, who took the whole thing the best was Grandpa's brother, Bill. He was playing with his grandchildren and telling jokes after the service. He's already lost his wife.
