There's this mentally deficient news reader on the morning show on channel seven. He used to be a business reporter, now he's just a general fuckwit who sits around drinking coffee and trying to be 'goofy' without actually adding much to the show. This morning he was talking to a police representative of the gun control division or something like that. And the goofy Regis ripoff decides he's going to take the police to task over the shootings at the University yesterday.
First he noted that the man arrested for the killings was a registered gun owner and all the guns he had were legally obtained. Then he asks 'if guns are only used for killing, why are people allowed to have guns?' It's a complex subject with a lot of historical and civil rights content, but this mealy mouthed motherfucker summed it up in a sentence that'd get a year 12 essay on the subject marked down. The police representative was left stuttering because he wasn't expecting to deal with a simpleton, and babbled out something about how guns do have an important role in our society which must be looked at from a historical perspective to be understood. Mister Asshole News-Anchor didn't want any of it, and neither did I. I turned the television off and got some breakfast.
