See, when you go out drinking, you generally tend to pay for your drinks in cash. If you have a note, you'll use it, even if your pockets are brimming with coins. You want to make the transaction as quickly as possible, not holding up the barman, not standing there like a dickhead counting. And if you're in a club with the lights down there's no way in hell you're going to be able to count those coins anyway. So every time I come home from a night of drinking there's coins all over the floor, spilling from my jeans. When I get around to it I put them in this plastic container I have on the floor next to my desk. It's on the floor because dad can't bend with his back the way it is, and he used to steal the coins when I had it on my bookshelf.
