Okay. I've been busy lately. Last week I found out it would take a while for my ordered parts to get to Portland. The people at the components supplier had a CPU chip, but no motherboard to put it in. I hope that doesn't mean I have another lousy, el-cheapo board. Anyway, to fill in the week I bought myself Neverwinter Nights, and I've been immersed in the game and the toolset ever since. The game is good, but takes a while to get into. I was initially thrown by some of the dialogue: it was just plain bad. Aribeth's annoying as hell. And the initial villain was so easy to pick. They might as well have played scary music every time you talked to him. But I got past that and I'm enjoying myself in it at the moment. And the toolset. Oh my god, the toolset. It's like a blessing, a gift from God. It's about as difficult to use as any image editing or database application, and powerful thanks to the scripting language. I've started work on my first module already.
