Too much Red Bull. Anyway, after reading through the Inform manual for a few hours, jotting down notes, trialling various small programs to see if I had the syntax down, I nearly gave up. The manual seemed to be more an introduction to a specification rather than a programming guide. Then I skipped ahead a few chapters and suddenly found myself in the middle of an example game, completely lacking all the technical mumbo jumbo. Blah. Lucky I got impatient or I would've given up already.
