Just got back from the first reading of the play. I don't have very many lines, but I do have a speech about how my father was a famous hero in the war, and one really cool part where I threaten to beat someone stupid, claiming that some police taught me how to do it without leaving a bruise. I get to do some tripping and stuff as well. My only problem is I'm supposed to be middle aged when I still look like a skinny kid. The reading didn't go so well because our directors and four of the actors weren't there, with another two having to leave part way through it. One of the parts, Cherry, was taken by our production manager because she thought she'd have fun playing a psycho. Tonight she realised she has to kiss the male lead twice. As we left she was practicing how she's going to tell her boyfriend. So anyway, right now I'm working on curing my headache. I didn't have any coffee before I left and now my head is just pounding with pain. Blah.
