I've only listened to that Nick Cave album once, when I was on the verge of passing out. The only thing obvious about it all is the presence of Warren Ellis. I can remember thinking, in that half-madness you get when you should have been asleep hours ago and are holding out for a reason that you don't know, that in parts it sounded like the Dirty Three with vocals. So I'm sitting here alone and in the dark giving it another listen.
