I've been playing a lot of Mario games lately, seeing as how they're the only new snes roms I've been able to find, and most rom sites just want me to click on banners and see Britney Spears' boobs. The thing that gets me about mario games is that they are completely and utterly deranged. It's like they have a room full of psychopaths design these things. I can see a bunch of Japanese guys sitting around and one says in Japanese 'okay. to increase consumer interest in our product we have to accessorise the main character. what should that accessory be?' And then the board members look confused until one says 'Let's ask the ask the psychos'. Thus the psychos get asked. One of them screams the answer 'A DRAGON!' When asked what this dragon should use as a weapon, another screams out 'HIS TONGUE!' Except it seems that at Nintendo lately they've let the psychos out of the development and into the business side of things.
