I learnt something about my father today. I was at the bank with Mum getting my rent money and we were talking about how we had been in town the day before. The day before we had come in for some things at the supermarket. I wanted noodles. As we had gone in, Dad had said something about needing to go somewhere else to look in the shop windows. He had grabbed Mum and walked off with her. It turns out he'd needed to buy some of his tablets because he'd run out. So I was at the bank talking to Mum about this today. She says he'd lied about needing to look in shop windows because he didn't want to look foolish in front of me. Now, I don't understand how running out of tablets makes him look foolish, or why I would think him stupid for needing to buy them, but it does suggest some things to me. He thinks a lot of my opinion of him. It explains while he constantly assaults me with facts he's learnt from the discovery channel, or with stories of his wit. I'm gunna try to not be so hard on him in the future.
