Playing through Final Fantasy IX. The game's been okay. It's a playstation Final Fantasy game and if you've played one, you've played them all. However, the bit I'm up to now in Garland's castle of Pandemonium is cool. One of the cooler bits in a game I've played. Not as cool as the prison break in Deus Ex, but I'm liking it. The hero is alone on his way to meet his creator, going through fights on his way. When he stops to fight, his friends show up and ask him if he wants help, call him stupid for trying to do it alone, or tell him off for taking so long. It's nothing brilliant in any respect of game design. But it just feels so cool.
