One thing I'm noticing about this show is there are a lot of 'mainstream' hits mixed in. Which I guess is to be expected since the rankings are decided by a public poll. That and 'mainstream' music and 'independant' or 'alternative' music are inseperable. Unless you're watching someone you've never heard of singing in a pub about thier girlfriend it's all big business or wannabe big business. It's in the distribution channels. You can't get your music out there and heard unless you suck corporate cock in one form or another. The situation is the same for nearly all modern forms of 'art'. Still didn't like seeing that U2 song, though.
