Just played Deus Ex for the first time in ages. Hearing the introduction music evokes an emotional response in me. There's nothing special about the music, really. It's pretty bland, in fact. The reaction comes from the quality of the game, a reflection upon the entire production. The music is like an echo of the experience, reminding me of what's happened within the game and what's happened to me while I'm playing. If that's not art, what is?
