Which reminds me. One of the courses I have to do if I want to do more advanced infotech is a 'getting to know computers' subject. Which wouldn't be so bad if it didn't require the student to have a copy of Microsoft Office and to purchase books on how to use them. If I didn't have a pirated copy I'd be disqualified from the infotech stream. I can't see why they don't use something like StarOffice which is multiplatform and free. Unless the school gets some kind of discount from Microsoft for forcing this onto thier students.
