Just played UFO, Enemy Unknown for a while. I'm playing the easiest difficulty level and I'm getting my arse handed to me by the aliens, mainly because it was at night. The buggers can see in the dark or something. I ended up patrolling over the landed UFO with an fighter-jet, shooting it down when it took off, then taking the aliens out in the ruins of thier crashed craft. I think I'm bringing too many RPG expectations to it. Whenever one of my troops dies I swear and curse and reload the game. But they're grunts and they're supposed to die. I've figured out grenades, though. Now I just have to figure out how to deal with the doors in and on alien ships. Then I'll be happy.
