Got my phoneline installed today. Had to miss a jobnetwork meeting because no one else was in the house while the maintinence guys were here. What a shame. We also got the payTV put back on. Now I have a small socket behind my desk that I just push the modem line into and I don't get interrupted by phonecalls anymore. It's so close to heaven. Been playing DiabloII a bit since again since we moved in, this time taking the leap and playing unprotected games on the battle.net realm asia2. It's pretty cool, though I've had pretty limited interaction so far the cooperative play turns a cool game into massively interesting. The level of communication is pretty low but you can usually guess what people want. I thought it would be a problem that most of the people on the server speak Korean, but heck no. DiabloII players have perfect the Lassie technique of communication. This is where you run back and forth between the person you're trying to get to follow you and the goal you have in mind. I also thought there might be a problem with the distribution of items between party members. Man was I wrong. The person who grabs fastest seems to be the one who gets the stuff. Simple, elegant and causes no arguements if everyone is in agreement before it occurs. Anyway, I got wowed tonight. Killed Andarial, the first Act Boss, with about 4 other people in the game. Me and this Paladin guy took her out. He said 'wow' to me afterwards.
