Here's how it goes. I live in a small town in country Victoria. I'm unemployed. There are only a few positions for jobs available in Portland every week, and they are usually given to friends, lovers or relatives of people who already work where-ever. I can't move to the city to get a job because the rental prices in the city are among the highest in the world. Well, they were before the Australian dollar dived. Also, when Australia's economy went into recession in the early nineties, one of the government's solutions was to put everyone into training for when jobs became available again. Kept people busy, but when growth came good it meant the people with specific training got the specific jobs. So now you have to do a traineeship to get a job selling crap in a retail store. I trained to be a writer. I'm an idiot. An unemployed idiot living with his parents because Univesity sent him into one hell of a depression. But I enjoy myself so everyone can go to hell.
