Reinstalled Black and White today. This install didn't have the same problem with blocking my dialup access, but it does have a habit of crashing at times. Guess this means I'm turning the autosave back on. Anyway, my new creature is a cow. Unlike my leopard, he doesn't eat his own crap. But unlike my leopard, his has this problem with picking up villagers and eating them. Every time I think I've gotten him trained out of it, I'll be watching him run around the village and bam! Of course, I have to beat the stuffing out of him then. He also seems to have his favourite rock for crapping on. At the moment there's more crap than rock. I think I might have to train him to throw it out to sea.
