Okay. That quote I stole from leisure town deserves at least a little explanation. I'm listening to the Foo Fighters CD, nothing left to lose, and it seems the over-riding theme is that we need to find something in our lives beyond the dreams sold to us by people with the only concern of making money. Which is another example of the fight club effect. This is the effect someone experiances if they watch and like the movie fight club. It happens with people who like the movie the matrix, too. Probably american beauty as well but I've never seen that. They feel like they've done something rebellious by consuming these products. Which they haven't, just let the little steamroller of the consumer society keep going. But thier rebellious needs are satisfied and redirected in a way that serves the machine. And they can go out the next day and do all the little consumer things they need to do. That's what inspired me to spew out that quote.
