Okay. Here's an obscure reference for you. I was just playing Baldur's Gate II, as I'm apt to do when I'm trying to wake up. Anyway, looking around in the adventurers mart and I noticed a couple of paintings on the wall. They mention something about a band of adventurers trying to return to thier far-off homeland, including a blonde-haired ranger and a short barbarian who owned a pet unicorn. It's referring to the eighties Saturday morning cartoon, Dungeons and Dragons. It also says they all got eaten by Tiamat, which isn't quite how I remember the show ending. I remember some crap where they finished off leaving it open for another series. Of course, it was very bad and unpopular so it was never continued. It had Gary Gygax as a producer. What the hell was he thinking making a children's show for a product that sold mainly to mid-teens through to adults?
