I wonder what its going to feel like when I finish Concrete Dream. The title's a dichotomy and a play on the name of one of Shakespere's plays as well as a description of what a city is. That's the kind of book it is. It's got levels I've forgotten about. Every now and then when I'm editing it they'll spring out and I'll remember. When I wrote it originally I was pretty crazy and some of that's coming back to infect me. Which isn't a bad thing, I've been told. Anyway, I wonder what it'll feel like. Will it be like this weight is gone? Or will it be like I've worn down one grindstone and I'll have to move onto the next. I've got no idea. Mum's drunk and Dad's making cigarettes.
