I have to explain a little thing about Centrelink. They have this way of killing you nicely. I don't mean that they're there as a means of oppressing people and keeping them from rising up and overthrowing. Which they might be. Least, they're an effective way of limiting crime. But that's not what I mean at all. When you get kicked off an unemployment benefit, there are various different names for the different types, they give you one last payment of a little more money than you normally get. It's like wa-hey! I gots cash. Then the reality hits in the mail a few days later when the letter comes telling you that extra money was the last you'll get from them until you apply again. You didn't benefit from some slip up in the system. You fucked up. And for a moment you felt like a king, but you're actually bent over and that arse is getting some shafting attention.
