Just went and did my fortnightly work 15 minutes work. It was easy, in and out because the guy processing the forms was on the phone as I handed it in. He stamped it without looking, meaning I get a new hard drive and probably linux tomorrow. After stopping in the dole office I went and bought a magazine at the newsagent on the main street. There was a guy with badly-dyed blond hair and a slack jaw giving me funny looks. Avoided him and bounced up to the counter after it took forever to find newscientist. It was nestled in between two newage mags: new dawn and nexus. It was funny when I came up to the counter. The people turned and looked at me, then either looked back quickly or moved a little toward the exit. I think the staff had been watching me, too, because I had my jacket draped over my arm like I was going to hide something under it. Or maybe not. I didn't, anyway. Only thought about it.
