I've decided not to drink on new years eve. I've got better things to spend money on and I don't enjoy drinking as much as I used to. It used to be the highlight of my week. We'd wander down to the bottle shop, talk with the guy there about the merits and flaws of the different drinks there, then walk home starting on what we'd bought. We'd be drunk by the time we got home. We'd roll around and laugh and smash things and hit on the neighbors and talk shit and play our music loud. But things aren't like that anymore, and it'd be stupid and sad to try and relive them. So I'm not going to bother.
