While I had no computer for a few days I drifted back to television to eat my time. Watched fear and loathing in las vegas. Never read the book, never been able to find it. I did hear a reading of it done on radio a few years back. It was serialised and I missed parts of it.
Dad's gone to bed now, but my cat is treating me like a climbing frame and its really annoying.
Anyway, the movie was strange. It was directed by Terry Gilliam, same guy behind 12 Monkeys and my all-time favourite film, The Fisher King. There wasn't really anything about it to like or hate. It seemed like a documentary about the use of drugs, although with the styles of Hunter S. Thompson and Terry Gilliam quashed together it made 'highpowered mutant never even considered for mass production' of a film. I like that quote. The rest of it is: 'too wierd to live, to rare to die.'
