Well. Finally oates has come back to blogging. Lot of things have happened, the most disasterous being the death of Windows. I formatted the hard drive after something happened to Explorer and it stopped loading and gave me this arcane little error instead of operating properly. Took me two days to locate a copy of windows and get everything up and working again. I lost a tonne of things I'd liked to have kept, like some emails and a heap of ICQ logs that had major sentimental value. I wonder if I can sue microsoft for pain and suffering. I managed to save some images and the most recent copy of my novel. Speaking of writery type things, I'm getting a story published. About twelve months ago I sent away a story titled archeaology to a once-off compilation called tiny epics. The story was inspired by the fucking mess our house was in and it was about a guy cleaning up. When I didn't hear from the publishers in february like I expected, I assumed the story and any possibility of it being distributed to the public were gone forever. I'm glad I was wrong.
