Started working on the book again. Like, seriously editing it. I don't know what sparked it off. Perhaps in part the fact I am getting a story professionally published by someone I don't know. In part because my internet's been so shitty lately that I've had to find other things to do. I'm reading it while I'm working on it, and I like it, but I keep wondering if a commissioning editor will accept it as a commercially viable product for a mature market. It's not a normal novel. I had that in mind when I was writing it: that I needed to make it structually different from the mainstream in order to make it stand out and be picked up. Then the shitstorm happened. Yay for not having anywhere to live then moving in with your well-meaning but ultimately choking parents.
