Got this from the s11 mailing list. When dealing with Mounted Police, remember that horses will not charge people. Horses when forced to charge demonstrators, will aim for the gaps between people to try and get through. The Police rely on fear of being trampled by horses to break the crowd up. Horses will not trample you, they will stop short. Thus the best defence against mounted Police is to stand quietly shoulder to shoulder and leave no gaps. The horses will pull up short and render Police horses ineffective. Everything a horse knows is taught by their trainer. Thus you must use the horses psychology to defeat it and it's rider.
